Soelden ranks among the most popular winter sports resorts world-wide. Several times it has been hosting the Alpine Ski World Cup and, over the last decades, it has become one of the greatest ski and snowboard centers in all of Europe. The entire region boasts not less than 147 km of immaculate ski runs for all levels and abilities.

State-of-the-art mountain railways featuring a total capacity of 66,000 persons per hour, guarantee ultimate skiing fun without queuing. The wide variety of ski runs is divided into 73 km of blue trails (easy), 45 km of red ski runs (intermediate) and 23 km of black pistes (difficult) offering a whole range of slopes ideal for both beginners and advanced skiers. Giggijoch area provides the perfect terrain for beginners and intermediate skiers while the ski area¹s challenging Gaislachkogel peak (3,058 m) offers both steep slopes for experts and fantastic off-piste routes for adventurers.
Discover some of Soelden¹s endless winter sports highlights: Giggijoch Boarders¹ Park, race course, easy cross or mogul slopes The choice is all yours!
The winter ski area is conveniently connected to the glacier ski area by the so-called ³Golden Gate to the Glacier³ lifts. You can easily reach the glacier slopes (up to 3,250 m above sea level) on your skis, starting right in the town center of Soelden. In Rettenbach Glacier¹s ³Schwarze Schneide² area another highlight is waiting for you: the valley¹s most outstanding top-to-bottom ski run is 12.8 km long with 1,880 m difference in altitude.
Soelden is pure bliss for skiers! Additionally, ski enthusiasts are of the opinion that the Rettenbachtal Ski Route (6 km) ranks among the truly unique insider tips.
