Palander moved up
Thats a nice move that I did this year comparing to last season when I finished 20th because of terrible stomach problem that I had. I went twice at the hospital, I guess because of a bad hamburger!
Its always a tough race here, but I got much momentum with my good GS race yesterday. I knew I was in good shape, but I was also very nervous.
I think that the jury made the right decision in Schoenfelders case, even if I prefer not to talk abut this. I was leading anyway, so I didnt want to care about what was going around. I tried to stay concentrated on my second run. And when I finished it, I knew that I was winning anyway.
Its difficult to start a season when you have the leaders bib. It was a strange feeling today! The race was really a demanding one, the conditions were incredibly tough. I can even say that I felt lost this morning during the inspection. I didnt ski well at all during the warm-up. I already knew that it would be a hard competition. I had too much speed during that first run considering the snow conditions. I skied at my limits.
I have always been training slalom and GS, since 10 years with Sami. Hes the best Gs technician on the tour for me! It would be really bad if I would be able to be competitive in both events with his help. GS is for me the most difficult event, and thats the reason why I want badly to succeed in this discipline, so that you get the respect for the others. Thats a nice goal
