What’s your comment on your result?

“I’m very happy with today’s result because I made some mistakes in the steep section. Today the material was really incredible, very good skis. No way could I imagine being in the second place. It’s an absolute a great race for me”.

You seemed to have recover some energy?

“Yesm I wasn’t feeling well those times. I have been struggling with the flue in the last month. It’s especially painful when you are an athlete like me, because you need to be 100% all the time. It’s the first time in my whole life that I’m so sick - sometimes it happens. I know a lot of people who are like this at home in their beds, that’s nothing to talk more about. I just started again with some more intensive training. I was 3rd in Lake Louise’s Super-G , and now 2nd here, that’s quite a good summary so far for me”.

You must feel more confident now?

“Sure, all those performances give me hope for tomorrow. I hope the weather is not going to change, so that we’ll have such another great day tomorrow, and another chance to win this race. If I’m on the podium, that will be another good day. But I prefer not to think at results and just concentrate on everything I have to for the race. Just enjoy the moment. I want to have a clear and solid race, and everything should be OK”.

How would you describe your relationship with Daron?

“I think that “relationship” with the other racers is not really the right term. Because the only time, I see Daron and the rest of the World Cup is on the hill, or on the podium. We inspect the slope on our own and do our race. I was very happy for him today. Of course, I feel a lot of respect for any racers here on the Tour, that’s my way to handle it”.

Sop what’s your next goal?

“I always hope to do better, whether it’s I training or during the race, that’s the same for me. I had bad weeks which are behind me, so I’m trying to improve race by race. So far it worked 2nd and 3rd. and tomorrow is another chance for me to go for it I’m still having fun. But I don’t count like you always do. Of course, each result gives you self confidence .But I don’t want to start talking about precise goals…”
