Carole Montillet

³When the weather is fine here, I feel able to give my best and move at a very high level² says Carole Montillet. ³I was so happy this morning when I saw that it will be a gorgeous day here!²
³Since it was our trainer Xavier Fournier who set the course, I knew I would compete on a favorable terrain, nevertheless I still made some mistakes² Carole added.
³In these conditions, it¹s great to win with such a nice lead! I was pretty nervous before the race and I had some cramps in my stomach. Fortunately, everything was fine again as soon as I started and I skied well afterwards².
³I was looking for a good race after my disappointing performance in Lenzerheide where the weather conditions were really bad for me when I started².
³Two wins and a podium finish in the last three Super-G races is great - my form is excellent and I¹m proud to have honored the red leader bib which I wore again today. Things are getting quite interesting in the Super-G World Cup standings but I don¹t want to think about it for the moment. The season is still long and I want to enjoy my skiing and to stay focused and motivated for the coming competitions².
³The Cortina d¹Ampezzo stage is mythical for us and I aim to do well again here at the end of the week. The downhill course is so nice and it¹s such a pleasure to let yourself go on it².
